Finally gave in

So, it has taken me 5 months of motherhood to finally jump on the blogging bandwagon. I take about a gazillion pictures a day of Sam and need to do something with them. They're too cute to just sit on the camera;) And apparently you can have your blog printed at the end of the year, kind of like a photo album. Hello instant baby book! I also like the idea of being able to talk about how totally awesome my son is without actually talking to anyone about how totally awesome my son is. Nobody wants to be that girl. So, anyway, check back here regularly for pictures, updates on all the fun new things he's doing and (hopefully) the occasional video.

I'm kind of late starting this blog, so to catch up a little: Sam is 5 months old today, still not sleeping through the night (yaaaay), rolling over both ways, grabbing anything within his reach and shoving it directly into his mouth. When he will stay on his stomach for longer than a couple minutes he is starting to work on getting those legs and arms moving. So far, though, it has only resulted in him shimmying backward, away from whatever toy he is trying to grab. He loves that. He's starting to kind of prop him self up, like a tripod, when he's sitting up, but we're still working on that. He would probably lie on the living room floor and squeal at the ceiling fan all day if I let him. My favorite thing that he is doing right now is when I lean in close enough to him he puts a little chubby hand on either side of my face, opens his mouth as wide as it will go and lets out his best squeal. Just because I'm near him. Melts my heart.

Here are some photos from a random Tuesday morning photo shoot:

Pretty darn cute, right? I'll try to post as frequently as possible, so come back soon!

P.S. I probably don't need to explain the title of the blog to those who already know Sam, but just in case; his initials are SIR.
